About us

Food for Soul is a cultural project founded by Chef Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore to shine light on the invisible potential of people, places and food.

Our Mission

By enabling the transformation of people, places and food, we build a culture of value that will strengthen community resilience, open opportunities for social and economic mobility and build healthier and more equitable food systems.

  1. Convertirnos en una comunidad interconectada de organizaciones e individuos financieramente estables que, si bien comparten valores similares, tienen diferentes experiencias y enfoques de los que pueden aprender y apoyarse mutuamente;
  2. Asegurarnos que a través de la red, los participantes puedan ofrecer servicios de alta calidad a sus comunidades;
  3. Desarrollar las herramientas para medir el impacto que los Refettorios y los comedores comunitarios tienen en sus comunidades, así como el efecto dominó que están teniendo en audiencias más amplias, y crear formas de comunicar dicho impacto;
  4. Convertirnos en una voz influyente para el cambio y abogar en base a diversas experiencias de comunidades resilientes, movilidad social y ecosistemas alimenticios equitativos.

Partnership and Sustainability

Through a Philosophy of Partnership, Food for Soul is building a progressive human-centred model and diverse network of partners to demonstrate the efficacy of culture as an approach to foster human connections and improve food systems. Our joint efforts are aimed at building a better and more sustainable future for people and the planet, responding to some of the most pressing global challenges of our time by accelerating opportunities for a more inclusive society.
